世界运河纵览 Exhibition of Canals
霍奇米尔科位于墨西哥城南部，意为“鲜花生长之地”。这里遍地都是漂浮花园。每逢周末便会有大批色彩鲜艳的船只载着游客穿行于运河之中。碧波荡漾、目不暇接之间，仿佛时光倒流，从墨西哥城穿梭至600年前阿兹特克人统治的特诺奇蒂特兰古城。霍奇米尔科于1987年被列入世界遗产名录。墨西哥城于2009年与北京结为友好城市。
Nestled in the south of Mexico City. Xochimilco, which means “the place where flowers grow” in ancient language, is dotted with floating gardens. Farmers once built numerous reed rafts on the lake and filled them with soil to plant fruits, vegetables and flowers. On weekends, large quantities of tourists are ferried through this canal on bright-colored boats. People seem to travel back in time, from Mexico City to Tenochtitlan, an ancient city reigned by the Aztecs 600 years ago. In 1987, Xochimilco was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In 2009, Mexico City established a sister-city relationship with Beijing.
