On May 15, the first China New Cultural and Creative Market & Trendy Toy Carnival kicked off with great excitement at Beijing's Chaoyang Park. Themed "Culture Nurtures Beauty, Creativity Enriches Life, and Trends Lead the Future", the market brought together a variety of high-quality cultural and creative brands and resources to create a trendy event blending cultural displays, interactive experience, and cultural consumption. 开幕式上,北京市海外文化交流中心主任王海茹以《设计为桥,中国生肖跃向世界》为主题,带来精彩的文创案例分享,揭秘大赛的“潮玩密码”——以现代创意设计为传统生肖“焕新”,推动生肖文化破圈传播、走向世界。

At the opening ceremony, Wang Hairu, Director of the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center, delivered a fascinating case study on cultural creativity titledDesign as a Bridge, Zodiac Trends Go Global, revealing the key to its success — using modern creative design to "rejuvenate" the traditional zodiac and promote its cross-cultural spread worldwide.

自2014年创办至今,由北京市文化和旅游局主办、北京市海外文化交流中心承办的全球吉庆生肖设计大赛已走过十二载历程。大赛累计征集全球近30个国家4万余件创意作品,评选出645件获奖佳作,先后亮相22个国家、举办54场展览,成为集创作、展示、交流、转化于一体的生肖文化国际传播平台。

Since its inception in 2014, the Global Zodiac Design Competition, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center, has grown into an influential international platform. The competition has collected over 40,000 creative works from nearly 30 countries globally. A total of 645 award-winning works have been selected. The event has been presented in 22 countries with 54 exhibitions held, becoming an international communication platform for zodiac culture that integrates creation, display, exchange and achievement transformation.
